Namibia´s Desert Breeze

Journey to Namibia´s Natural Wonders: vast desert landscapes, canyons & mountain outcrops - a paradise for nature lovers, adventurers and photographers!

Your African Journey starts here

15 Days Self drive Itinerary:
Desert Breeze

Our Namibia two-week itinerary takes you to the country’s south, where highlights like the Fish River Canyon, the ghost town of Kolmanskop, and the dunes of Sossusvlei are waiting to be explored.

Your African adventure begins in the vibrant city of Windhoek, a blend of modernity and African charm. As you venture south, the vastness of the Kalahari Desert will captivate you, offering soul-stirring sunsets and intimate encounters with desert wildlife during your 2-night stay.

Then you head further south and immerse yourself in the surreal beauty of Keetmanshoop’s Quiver Tree Forest and the enigmatic Giant’s Playground. A true playground for every nature lover and photographer. Prepare to be awe-struck as you gaze into the abyss of the Fish River Canyon, the world’s second largest canyon after the Grand Canyon, and spend 2 nights captivated by its sheer magnificence. You can honor hiking trails at the canyon rim and explore the special flora and fauna with knowledgeable guides. If you want to go for a full canyon hike, please let us know!

Your journey follows in the northern direction to Aus, your gateway to the historic Kolmanskop Ghost Town and the picturesque coastal town of Lüderitz, where time seems to stand still. It is also worth stopping at Garub to look out for the wild horses of Namibia.

Find serenity in the Tiras Mountains for a one-night stop-over, where stargazing becomes a mesmerizing experience, then venture into the spellbinding dunes of Sossusvlei, where towering dunes create an otherworldly landscape. Climb Dune 45 and explore the Dead Vlei and then head out for a horseback ride into the Naukluft Park or a relaxing Balloon ride over the Namib – it won´t get boring here.

A contrast to the rugged Namib desert is the coastal charm of Swakopmund, with its German architecture and adrenaline-pumping desert adventures, where you will spend two nights. Afterward, the  Erongo Mountains await, inviting you to unravel ancient secrets amidst the rocky terrain. Explore Spitzkoppe’s soaring granite peaks and experience the magic of the Erongo’s unique flora and fauna during your 2-night stay close to Omaruru.

As you journey full circle, return to Windhoek, with cherished memories of an adventurous expedition through Namibia’s diverse and awe-inspiring wonders.
