Namibia has introduced a new visa policy in 2025 whereby visitors from most countries will require a visa on arrival or holiday visa for their stay in the country.
The different types of tourist visas:
Evisa (VOA)

After submitting your application online you only need a hard copy of the approval letter with QR code and the arrival form to enter Namibia.
Visa on Arrival (VOA)
- Can be done upon entry
- Additional requirements
You can process the visa on arrival when you enter the country. Some visitors reported that the waiting times were longer on arrival.
You will have to bring along hard copies of all of the requested documents and the entry is still subject to approval of the immigration officer.
Holiday Visa
- Can be done online
- Additional requirements
- Certified copy of passport
The holiday visa is only for residents of countries that don’t fall under the Visa Of Arrival policy.
